Today we're going to talk about different tips and tricks for setting up your customer area in your shop to be the most effective when it comes to your customer.
You can accomplish this in a variety of different ways with digital signage. Digital signage is something a lot of retail stores tend to undervalue when it comes to selling their brand, services, or products.
Below we're going to discuss a few tips and tricks that can spice up your repair shop customer waiting area for the best and let it make you money!
While we have many AdCentral users utilizing AdCentral TV in their retail locations, today we're going to use Joe Silva of The Repair Square, located in Harrison, NJ, as an example. Joe has been a massive proponent of AdCentral and our services, but he recently finished setting up multiple TVs throughout his store to utilize them in various ways.
Like many shop owners, Joe is busy with many tasks every day. As we know, running a store not only takes a lot of time and money, but you can quickly start letting more minor things slip that don't seem as important to you anymore, such as branding and marketing. We all want to make at least one post on social media daily or finish that new content; you’ve worked with a designer for weeks on revisions. It's easy to get caught up in running a shop and keeping it going like a well-oiled machine that you built it to be.
Joe had heard about AdCentral through some Facebook groups and wanted to check out what they had to offer after seeing a few other members mention our services. Joe's journey with AdCentral begins here.
After Joe signed up for AdCentral and started looking at all we had to offer, he quickly realized he'd been using his TVs wrong in his shop for so long! What do we mean by this? You see, Joe had been streaming Netflix and YouTube on his TVs for entertainment content because he thought it was what customers would enjoy while visiting his store. Joe had tried using other digital signage methods in the past, but the outdated techniques of copying images to an SD card and transferring them over to a USB stick were just too troubling. Our platform is app-based, allowing Joe to use an AppleTV, Android TV, or Fire TV compatible device to connect to AdCentral and up and running in no time!
Joe's mind was blown once he set up his first TV with AdCentral and immediately saw the extensive content library available. Not only was this custom content already designed for services and products he offered, but it also had his logo on every design when playing on the TV! From that moment forward, Joe was hooked! Joe started looking at ways to utilize additional TVs for digital signage in his store to serve his customers better. Joe now has five TVs throughout his store, servicing different departments such as accessories, devices, and more. Each of these TVs displays content specifically around the department area, allowing it to educate customers on the products they're looking at.
Now that Joe has his shop set up with digital signage in different departments, he's let the TVs do the selling and educating while the repair is in process or if they're browsing what he has to offer. Customers are looking at cases for their phones while watching a video on how he's having a bundle sale currently with a discount on all phone cases with any screen repair! While this may have been something Joe would mention to the customer at checkout as an upsell, the TV did all the talking BEFORE the checkout for him!
Having AdCentral TV is like having another salesperson on the customer floor, looking to educate and inform customers in your waiting area about products, services, or promotions you are currently offering.
Now Joe doesn't have to spend countless hours going back and forth with designers over single graphic designs. He's deployed an army of videos to each display and programmed their loops to deliver a customer experience like no other. He's no longer swapping SD cards and USB sticks between TVs and his computers. That's a MASSIVE time-saving in itself! Customers had already given him compliments on his store and design, but once the TVs were set up, they were all amazed at their effectiveness.
That's all there is to it. AdCentral TV was designed to create a seamless digital signage solution for retail repair locations without headaches and without swapping SD cards and USB sticks. We took it a few steps further by creating a massive content library and categories to choose these videos from to place in your loop and assign them to your designated TV for displaying the assigned videos on each TV. Given the ability to connect up to three TVs per account, more for an additional fee, we've set the bar for digital signage in the retail space.
